The 15th IPMA Research Conference “Vienna Calling – Impact from Research to Practical Project Management and Vice Versa” invites researchers, academics, professionals, doctoral candidates, and project management experts and decision makers and policy makers from around the world to submit their contributions. The author(s) of the highly-rated peer-reviewed papers will be selected and recommended to submit an extended/modified version, for publishing in the Special Issuе "Project Management in the Age of Artificial Intelligence“ of the Frontiers of Engineering Management Journal.

Frontiers of Engineering Management Journal published quarterly by Higher Education Press and Springer Nature, is a scholarly journal supervised by Chinese Academy of Engineering. The journal which got an impact factor 7.4 in 2022 by JCR report, has been indexed by ESCI, Scopus, Google Scholar, INSPEC, CSCD, AMI and other indices.

Submitted papers should comply with regular FEM author guidelines and will undergo the FEM review process.

 

Additionally, selected papers will be also recommended to submit an extended/modified version, for publishing in the Journals who strongly supports the Conference.

Invited papers will need to comply all the additional requirements of the specific journal, and will undergo the journal’s  peer-review process.

Two types of submission are accepted for the Conference

1. Full Papers
Length: 3,500 to 6,000 words

Double-blind peer review process

Publication of accepted papers in the Conference Proceedings

Proceedings submitted for indexation in Web of Science and Scopus

2. Early-Stage Research

Length: 1,500 words plus 500 words short abstract.

The latter will be published in the Book of Abstracts - Project Management Research Ideas
with focus on emerging research ideas and applied studies.

The best conference paper will be selected based on academic and editorial criteria, including methodological quality and rigor, originality and contribution to knowledge, relevance, alignment with the conference topic areas, as well as the clarity, coherence, and strength of the argumentation.

All conference proceedings are published under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, meaning that users are allowed to share an article (i.e., copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt it (i.e., remix, transform, and build upon the material), on the condition that proper attribution is given and the material is only used for non-commercial purposes. Avoiding Artificial Intelligence Misuse

Authors should declare in the disclaimer if generative artificial intelligence (AI) or AI-assisted tools were used in writing, data analysis, figure generation, or any other aspect of the manuscript preparation.

Example statement:
“In this article, we used [specify AI tool, e.g., ChatGPT, Grammarly, etc.] for the purpose of [briefly state the purpose, e.g., language editing, grammar correction, idea structuring, etc.].”

Presentation Template

At the end of the conference, the Best conference papers will be announced. The author(s) of the selected Best papers will be recommended to submit an extended/modified version of the paper for publishing in WoS journals.
