Located in the heart of Austria’s capital, Project Management Austria (pma) is the country’s leading project management association and the official Austrian representative of the International Project Management Association (IPMA). With around 1,300 members, pma brings together project management professionals, industry experts, academics, and emerging talents from a wide range of sectors. Through internationally recognized certifications, professional development opportunities, and a vibrant network of events, pma actively promotes excellence and innovation in project management.

Vienna provides the ideal setting for the 15th IPMA Research Conference. Consistently recognized as one of the world’s most liveable cities, Vienna combines a rich cultural heritage with a strong focus on innovation, education, and international collaboration. As a leading destination for international meetings and congresses, the city offers outstanding infrastructure, excellent accessibility, and an inspiring environment for knowledge exchange and professional networking.

Together, pma and Vienna create a unique platform where project management expertise, international perspectives, and forward-thinking ideas come together. Whether attending a conference, pursuing certification, or connecting with fellow professionals, participants benefit from both pma’s strong professional community and Vienna’s dynamic and welcoming atmosphere. pma’s roots are closely linked to the international project management community, which has maintained a long-standing connection with Vienna since the first international IPMA Congress was held in the city in 1967.
